WHERE DO WE STAY?
There are on-campus accommodations and nearby hotels.
NB. Toronto will be hosting the PanAm games this July, so all weddings, conferences etcetera have been pushed ahead to June. I urge you to please book your accommodations as soon as you possibly can. I have been unable to book blocks of rooms because of the pressure on local hotels due to the games. Room rates have already increased since my initial email to you, so please make booking your accommodation your priority!
The closest and nicest hotel is the Hotel Intercontinental. The book rate average for a stay checking in June 4 and checking out June 7 is about now running $279 per night. (two queen sized beds). http://www.toronto.intercontinental.com/
There are still some single rooms (one double bed) available at the Holiday Inn http://www.hitorontoblooryorkville.ca/ and online rates are about CAN$175/night.
Accommodations are also available through student housing at Victoria University on the University of Toronto campus. And they do seem to be willing to negotiate group rates with a deposit up front,
Per night stays will vary from CAN$62-90 .

Further accommodation may be available through St. Michael’s College:
WHERE DO WE PARK?
Daily rates for parking are $9.50 until 7 pm, and then another $9.50 for the evening.
So to park on campus for daytime and evening performances combined you need to budget for CAN$19/day.

There are no discounts available for people staying in the residence accommodations.
MUST WE BUY FESTIVAL PASSES?
Not at all.
Since we are a self-funded event, we unfortunately need to cover some of our costs through ticket sales. We are offering a special rate for passes for your casts and crews, but they are certainly not required to pay for anything they do not wish to attend.
Registration is free and only open to you and your production personnel. I will be sending out info for that shortly. You will need to be a festival registrant to get discounted rates for ticketed events.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RECEPTION?
If you wish to attend the reception on Friday night, and you have purchased a festival pass, your reception ticket is included.
If you don’t wish to purchase the pass, but would like to attend the reception, tickets will available for $15. There will be a cash bar.
CAN UNDERAGE PEOPLE ATTEND THE RECEPTION?
Yes.
But note that Ontario laws require anyone serving alcohol to ask for ID from any patron who looks under 25. (Passport, Driver’s License, or Age of majority card)
The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19.
CAN YOU SEND ME MY VENUE ‘S DIMENSIONS?
As soon as I have assigned a venue to you, I will send you photos, exits and entrances, and dimensions. If drawings are available, I will send those to you as well. You should have all of this info by April 3 2015.
WHAT WILL WORKING WITH THE WAGONS BE LIKE?
For those of you who are using one of our wagons, you will be sent dimensions and I will look for pictures of the particular wagon in action.
Since they are antiques, you cannot use nails or screws to affix anything to the wagon, but if we know what you need specifically, we may find that the wagon is fitted already.
The wagons are mobile and you might choose to have your cast and crew make an entrance with them. Or we can have the wagon pre-set for you. That will depend on your dramaturgy. There are stairs that go with each of the wagons, and they will be provided to you.
